confused about CA reporting on CR
Date: Mon, 02/12/2007 - 12:31
I was wondering what "date reported" means on the credit report. I am hoping that these ridiculous CA are not trying to reage my old old debts. How do I find out when things are going to fall off the credit report?
Also, portfolio recently aquired a very old debt that appears as paid as agreed on one credit report? How would I straighten that out?
How old does the debt have to be for the CA to quit reporting on it?

Accurate negative items fall off the credit report after 8 to 10
Accurate negative items fall off the credit report after 8 to 10 years.
Dispute the incorrect items with the CRA and the collection company and get the errors fixed. Under FCRA laws, they must give you reasonable proof that they are authorized to report in your credit and have placed the legit info.
