I make every attempt, at every opportunity, to spread the word about Bass and Associates. I go to as many newspaper websites, throughout the country, writing about them. Here is one such comment I left on a tennessee newspaper:

That's hilarious: a collection company behind on their own payments!

It still baffles me that these people still try to drop the arrest and jail bomb on consumers. When I still got calls from collection companies, I would just sit there calmly and collectively while these people ran their mouths and read their scripts which I'm sure were full of exclamation points.

During that time I was really hoping that one would threaten that on me just so I could say "bring it on" to a collector!

For the past 3 years we have been going that way to Indianapolis for the Bands Of America Grand Nationals Competition. We stay at my grandmother's house (who is goingto be 90 in 2 months) and drive to Indy. Last year was my son's last year participating and next year, if our school goes, will be my daughter's first year going.

I wanted to start off by thanking everyone that has been helping me such as Tweety71, Anthony and many more. You guys are great and were sent to me from up above. Because before I found this site, I was going crazy when these rude and insensitive and unethical and immoral people B&S called me telling me I had to send at least 1,000.00 by 5:00pm on a Friday January 12th 2007. I remember it like it was yesterday, they had me sick to my stomach literally. But those days are over thanks to god and you guy. Because when I had these people calling me I cried and prayed everyday to god to help me and he did cause I found this site and all you nice people that helped me.

OK,
Here are my answers to the "We're going to prosecute you for a bad check if you don't cough it up by 2 pm" rant:

First off, you never wrote them a check, it was a loan done by ACH.
Defaulting on PDL's is not a crime in my state (check out the laws online, moron...)
I will offer you payment to satisfy the principal I borrowed, plus a legal interest rate.
If you don't agree to that, I will be happy to tell the judge how you are insisting on violating state law, after I offered to pay my debt off legally. It will make interesting testimony in court--especially since you aren't licensed to do business in my state, yah think??

And finally GO ANTHONY!!!!!!!!!!!!

I ask everyone to fill out every little postage paid white thing that falls out of a magazine. Address it to the UPS box for Bass and Associates. Lets fill their box up with every kind of magazine subscription that we can....from **** mags to quilting mags.

That would be hilarious, I could imagine how the call would go:

Person answering the phone: This is so and so, may I help you?

Bass and Associates: Get a pen and write this down. We are currently processing papers and you are being downloaded. You must wire us money by 2:00 p.m. or we will have someone come to your place of employment and you will be placed under arrest.

Person answering phone: I see, and may I ask who I shall wire the money to.

B&A: I am with Bass and Associates, and you are required by law to wire the money to us via a Walmart.

Person answering phone: I understand your request, and I must advise you that this is the Florida Attorney Generals Office and we are currently investigating your company, and this call placed to us now gives us grounds to file for a warrant for your arrest, and a complete eradication of Bass and Associates. Please inform your supervisor that we are currently "downloading" your whole fuuken company.

B&A: Uh....Please hold....click.

Irish, I did that. I gave the payday copmpanies the Attorney Generals number. Needless to say I never heard frm them again. KYSIDE38
