OK,
Recieved 2 letterd from Allied, one in my name, and another with an INcorrect spelling of my last name.
I sent validation letters to BOTH letters recieved.
Allied DID get them, as I have the Return reciept for the letters I sent. To date, they have knowingly and willingly FAILED to provide me with the required information I asked them to send.

Now,
Today, I recieved a letter from an attorney office in Denver, stating I owe AI well over $2200, payable in lump. Said I had ample time to send payment.
Needless to say, they're gonna get a nasty dispute letter pretty quick!

Gonna dispute their claim, indicatingthat AI NEVER bothered to send me the written information I asked for. Also thinking that I'm gonna send a letter to COBAR - Colorado Bar Association, and file a formal complaint there as well.

Thought they couldn't collect if they can't/won't provide solid proof of debt(s) owed??
Correction here welcomed, if wrong. Won't be the first time I'm wrong either!

Suggestion as to what I may need to do now are most appreciated!
Thanks,

Am definately gonna contact local AG. Need to return paperwork I recieved. Had been waiting on a reply from AI first. Now, I can fill out paperwork and return.

AI, in the past, had always called in the middle of MY night. I can't, don't and won't accept calls between 8AM and 9PM. I'm usually in bed sleeping, or trying to sleep during those hours.

Still gonna contact COBAR as well. Seems like this office is attempting to collect on an UNvalidated debt.
Gonna be sending a letter as soon as I get paid, requiring them to validate their claim. And maybe provide some information to them about the various questionable tactics of their so-called "client".

May not do me any good, but at least I know they've been warned. Guess I also need to file a dispute with the CRA's as well, letting them know this particular claim isn't and hasn't been validated per the law.

More than likely Allied didn't respond because they don't have proper validation. Keep us posted on what happens. I too am having problems with them calling, but I put a stop to it by sending a cease and desist phone calls letter to them certified mail return receipt requested. However, I am still waiting on validation which they seem to cannot come up with. If they had all their ducks in a row it wouldn't be a problem to prove it. It seems that Allied is causing alot of problems for people.
