I read where Attorneys can get an order from the Court to freeze a bank-account before they even win a judgment against the account holder. Is this true?
If true,Is this a common action Attorney's take?

I may be mistaken, but I believe it was referenced as a "checking account garnishment".

This applies to credit card debt as well.

An Attorney can obtain a Court order and freeze your banking account until it is established in Court how much the debtor actually owes.

The bank account holder is not notified until after the bank account is frozen.
