How to record cell phone calls
There is an eHow article on this: How to Record Cell Phone Calls. It shows how to do it step by step. Link at end gives state by state laws. Appears in most states it is legal as long as one party knows.

Do I still need to let them know they are being recorded to be admissable when I live in a 1 party state? If so, is there a creative way to inform them.

In a 1 party state, you do not have to inform them at all. I live in a 1 party state but I add "ALL CALLS TO MY HOME AND CELL PHONE ARE RECORDED" to the bottom of all my DV's. Once they sign for it, they have been informed. If they call, they are giving tacit agreement to being recorded.

Thank you, NASCAR Devil!!!
Forgive me for my ignorance, but does that mean any correspondnce they send acknowledges the right to be recorded? I know in Cali once the judge threw the recording out - stating that they were not made aware of it and when I showed him the correspondence letter and return receipt, He responded that is as low as their tactics. My lawyer responded 1 good turn deserved another. HA,HA!
Also should I include the recording notice on my email signature to make sure that no matter how we communicate they have been made aware of it being recorded.

I wouldn't communicate by e-mail at all and once you add that to your initial DV letter, that would be the only time I'd inform them. Remember, you're in a 1 party state and you are doing them a favor by even adding that. Beyond that, talk to them all day long, CA's love to hear themselves talk and they will screw up and screw up big. Get yourself a few violations on tape and then sue them.

You can use violations to bargain reduction in debt, deletion form credit reports, etc. Remember that FDCPA is currently up to $1000 per action, not violation but the more violations you get from a CA, the more bargaining power you have.

I can't beleive all the information I have gotten from people in here. I just think until recently I was paying for this info. Thank you all for this site.
I have a bible study partner that comes over once a week that thinks people are just out for themselves now in these times.
I need to give her a hug and let her know there are still people in this world who care enough to help one out in their time of need with no prejudices or alterior motives in mind. For some reason the Dukes of Hazzerd themesong just popped into my mind. C'mon everyone think about it - oxymoron- I know but still funny.
