i used the debt validation letter from the templets for the letter i have sent them. i am about to send another letter. is their a letter that i can send to the Credit Breaus to inform them i have tried to get info but with no results?

If you disputed through the credit bureau, you will receive a letter from RJM that contains the the original creditor, original account number and I think date of last activity for the debt. I disputed the debt twice and received 2 letters.

i did it online but i never got a letter from the CA about the debt

I'm thinking you should send them (RJM) a letter demanding that the credit report entry be removed as the debt has not been validated. I'm pretty sure the letters you'd need are among the 27 on the template page. Perhaps you might want to think about an attorney, try naca.net, or you could file a complaint with the FTC.

When did the credit bureau notify you of the results of the dispute?

Be very careful with this company. I found a judgment on my credit report three months ago from them. When I contacted RJM, they told me they received judgment against me for an old debt. When I went to the county clerk, there was nothing. I contacted a lawyer through Legal Aid and filed a complaint. The judgment was deemed falsified. It is so important to check your report on a regular basis.

Someone on this forum pointed out that RJM is not licensed and bonded to collect in some states. No bond, falsifying judgments? Sounds like a company about to be hit by a tidal wave of lawsuits.

I agree with texaslawyer. And Guest, I would think about suing them if I were you.

Rjm are dirtbag jdb's who believe the law is what they can do to get their money.I normally don't believe in class action,but in this case someone needs to bleed these fools.

Guest if you don't file a lawsuit,please file a written complaint to your attorney general with copies of your proof.

If you did a dispute through the credit reporting agency and they stated that RJM is a vaild debt there are only two options that is to either pay the debt or to simply let it stay on your credit. Or you can pay the orginal debt to the company you owe. But if the credit agency has validated then RJM does not have to validate it with you.

They are a collection agency, I think they may be a junk debt buyer who buys seriously past SOL accounts and tries to collect upon them.

To the original poster: The fact that they verified the account to the CRAs is a violation since that is considered continued collection activity. You now have them on at least $3000 in violations. You can send a 2nd letter demanding that they close the account and remove it from your credit reports or else you will file suit. Even if they later validate the account (and they would have by now if they could have) you still can get them on $3000 in violations, regardless of validation.

Ok I have RJM on my credit report for a few items that undoubtedly not mine, the address and ss number they quoted me over the phone for verification were Sooooooooo wrong. So I'm about to send my first wave of letters to them about the accounts asking for validation. However on a few of the accounts, there is no complete account number. So my question is... how do i go about obtaining my account number with them so i can send the letter properly?

I ask because in the template given for the validation letters, there is a space for the account number, but my report only shows the last four of the account number. I have already contacted them and of course they will not give me any information, and have ever hung up on my several times,lol.

So what should my next step be to get the full account numbers of these accounts and ge the letters sent of certified mail?

They are supposed to send you a dunning letter with the instructions for dispute and info on the original creditor.

Just put whatever of the account number you have, and mention that you are not aware of said account at all so you do not know the account number of the alleged debt.

there was a couple pf things On my credit report from 2002...I was 14 in 2002 and it was for some BMG music thing...well last month thats what was on my report and now I just checked it and I have an RJM thing on it for that same debt...and now its current for this year,,,what do I do how do I fix this...please help my husband and I want to buy a house but cant vause my poor 540 credit score...
