I rec'd letters from them that they had purchased account from TJF/Bahamas Marketing and Midland Marketing and I sent them a loan validation letter.
He also sent me an email requesting an ACH form be completed and/or payments of $100 via Western Union.
I just need to know if they are actually a lender then maybe I should request a loan history.
I am in Utah and I checked and none of the companies (Midland Marketing, TJF/Bahamas Marketing or Westbury Ventures) is registered in the state of Utah.
Help!

Under no circumstances should you make any payments until they have complied with your validation request -- which was a very wise step for you to take, by the way, so pat yourself on the back. :-)
Assuming that they do validate the debt (which, IME, is unlikely), then you can review their documentation to see whether everything is in order, after which you'll have a better idea of what to do. In the meantime, however, it is unlawful for them to make any attempt to collect the debt because they have not yet complied with your request for validation.

They are a company that purchases debt from Paydayloan companies and then tries to get you to pay more than you owe...FYI they are a company known for doing skip tracing...so keep a close eye on any accounts you have for unusual activity!
