Midpoint Managment Group

Has anyone dealt with Midpoint Management Group? They are a collection agency (junk agency I believe) collecting for HSBC/Orchard Bank. I have been with Town and Country for months now and T&C has been paying HSBC. I get a call from them trying to collect on this account I had in the past. Luckily I went through all this with the payday advance companies but they claim over the phone they have filed this with the courts. I told them hang on a second and looked at our county court records online and nothing has been filed. I told him nothing has been filed in our court and then his response oh; they will come tomorrow to serve you. You don't want to be embarrassed in front of your co-workers do you? I told them to bring the cops to serve me if you want, I'll wait by the front door. Then the manager gets on the phone and I told him before I commit to any payments to you guys, I want to check with T&C first. Money has been paid and I have no idea what’s going on. The manager says you need to give me your debt card so I can collect 300 right now to stop the cops showing at your house or work. I told him I refuse to give you my debit card over the phone and I want to talk to T&C first. Finally the manager said I can't help you and good luck with the cops. Does anyone have an address for this company so I can send a C&D letter

Now I am in spot and I don't know how to handle this. I spoke with Town and Country this morning and they called HSBC. HSBC has said they sold my debt back in June 2005. T&C has sent HSBC three different checks in which HSBC has cashed. Midpoint is claiming I owe a balance of 1200 dollars but my credit report (June 2007) shows HSBC charged off 627 dollars and it was marked as Sold/Transfered. How can this be when my CR says one and they are saying another. What do I do since HSBC cashed three checks but yet sold this debt in June 05?
