Continueance of case of garnishment...

What have I missed??? I'm going to give you the advice you gave me one time.....CALL THE COURTHOUSE. Listen girlfriend, I wouldn't trust a word they say, especially when you're dealing with CACH.

thanks moki! long time no see girlfriend! so actually my question was can i just call them or do i have to go down there? I'm assuming they wud know if his name has been taken off the docket right? and a phone call cud take care of knowing for sure right? I'm brain dead after talking to this guy over 6 times today!
these people make me weary! But i'm SO close to being done with them i can taste it and it's a great feeling!

I remember that as long as you had the docket number you could call. If you recall I was in another state and all I could do is call.

I would call. Don't let these bums win! You've made it this far you will make it the rest of the way!!!!

It's late and the brain is slowing down. If your date is Monday, call tomorrow and see if there was a continuance filed for Monday's date. If not, I would take my sorry self down there Monday and be there and surprise them!!!! You can't take chances or trust these CACH people!

oh trust me i do NOT trust them at ALL!! and u can bet the farm we'll be there on Monday if it hasn't been continued! They've already got me once, shame on them, they won't get twice or then it's shame on me! ;)
it will be the happiest day in my life when i'm' finally done with CACH but i will NEVER forget and i will always warn EVERYONE in every way i know how about how sneaky and dirty they are!

If they did try to fake you out, I would take a copy of the email to show how shady and underhanded these people are.

Already thought of that and have all coorespondance saved!

I've missed alot, too! I'm glad you are getting it straightened out. Good thing you are saving everything. I haven't had experience with CACH but it sounds like they are slimeballs.

Ok well i called the court house today and the docket number has been continued. So no court on Monday and the money is on the way to them.... As soon as it clears their bank they will send the courts a SIF and me one as well...
Now it's "really" almost over. I feel like i've been saying this for years! What i dont' get is, why didn't they just settle this with me when i first tried? Doesn't make any sense to me at all... just caused me lots of stress.

Oh i have it all FYI. Only thing i don't have is the fone call to the court house but i DO have the email he sent me saying it would be continued. IS that good enough? ANd i got the girls full name taht i spoke to at the court house.

That should be good enough. I don't know if the court would send you documentation of a continuance but unless you are used to lying from the court house people then their word should be fine.

LOL @ lying from court house people FYI! Actually, i've NEVER had to deal with a court house before in my life, thank goodness!

I don't know about your state, but the rules of civil procedure in most require copies of all motions, etc. to be sent to everyone involved in the suit.

But the court date is scheduled for Monday Lawstudent and they just got the continuance today so guess that didn't leave time for that... but i did call and the courts told me indeed it wasn't on the docket. She even put me on hold to check on it!
I'm taking her word for it along with the email CACH sent me saying they wud get a continuance....

Yes, you would not have had time to get it in the mail. What matters is that you called the court and found it to be for real.

can u believe this is almost over for me Lawstudent?? Wow i feel like i'm in a dream!! I won't believe it until they have my money in their hands and my SIF in MY hands!
