One thing I am unsure of in regards to handling violations, should I attempt to contact the ca first, or go directly to the cra's or even the ftc?

I'd say in regards to handling violations u wud need to hire a NACA atty. Most give free consultations and if u do indeed have a case against CA's then they wud probably take the case and want a percentage of ur winnings.

Ang is right. It depends on your state, but most people handling it themselves would run the risk of their suit being thrown out due to something or another not meeting civil procedure standards, etc.
