I think I am going to go with Oak View Law to help me with my situation. I talked with them yesterday and it's a little expensive, but it's worth it. The price I would have to pay to pay off all my pdl's and and the price I have to pay them is much better. They are willing to accept what I can afford. Check out their website if anyone is interested in learning about them. They are members of the BBB, Dunn & Bradstreet and the International Association of Professional Debt Arbitrators.

If you are referring to me as a poster troll, you got the wrong person. I am a legitimate "in debt" poster looking for answers. I simply log onto Oak View's website, went through the steps but stopped short of accepting anything when I seen all the fees they get for their work. I personally cannot afford their fees and $50.00 a month maintenance is like having another credit card to deal with. Sorry If I offended anyone, just being honest.

As far as I know, they are legit. Look them up on the BBB. I have spoken with BG before as well as others. I unfortunately cannot stay signed up with them because my finances are so bad right now, that I am considering bankruptcy. Oak View does cost money, but they are there to help you also.

Hey all, i currently work in a lawfirm as a case manager(collector), and i am one of the main guys who determines if you get sued for a debt or not, and i'll tell you that debt management companies will make you end up paying wey more than your debt and cause you to get sued beacause they keep stalling on paying off your debt. Debth collection lawfirms like ours don't waste time when it comes to putting a lien on your house or your paychecks simply because they are different than just the regular collection agency, all those guys can do is ruin your credit report, but collection lawfirms like mine can do wey more, property lien, wage garnishments, tax lien, and even a capias warrant for your arrest. I've been looking to get intouch with people in need of real help from a real experienced debt collector and get you the lowset settlemnts or arragenements possible. But my service is not free, i will tell you what i can save you, then you can negotiate what you want to pay me. No i'm not a debt settlement company, personally i hate them because i use to work for one a long time ago, and the only way we made money is to keep you in debt for the longest period so we can bank off your fees while you're getting sued and having your credit report go down the drain. So heres the deal. I can help you with my experience, eliminate your debt, no b.s.. The fact and the truth is the economy is bad and everyone is trying to save the little they have and in the process get into bigger trouble with collections. Its quite simple.

They put out a warrant to arrest you??? For What?? There are good and bad Debt Settlement companies, just like there are good and bad doctors. that is why you do your research--and not take someones word that you don't even know--

If you can help others, why not do that here, instead of putting down someone else and being negative about the whole thing? I know people who have had their debts taken care of with debt settlement and debt management, without being taken,so you can't lump everyone in the same boat. Just like collectors--there are some really bad ones, but also some good ones--we have several here on the boards who have helped other alot.

You also didn't mention what "Debt Collection Law Firm" you were working for--but is doesn't sound too "helping" or legit either.

If you want to be helpful, that's fine. But putting down others to build yourself up,makes others not want to listen...Just a thought..

I have been in a debt settlement program with Oak View for more than a year now and they have helped me tremendously. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs help digging out of debt. Believe me, the banks are not out to help you. When I was not behind on any payments and asked them for help before falling behind on payments; they would not do anything to help me. As soon as I stopped making payments, some of them did not even try to call me, they just turned the account over to a law firm. I am so glad that I have a law firm on my side too. I did my research first between just a debt settlement firm and a law firm who does debt settlement and to me the choice was a no-brainer, especially when some of the banks immediately hired a law firm. I am still digging out, but I am sleep a little better at night with Oak View on my side.

I got to the point where I needed to sign up for consolidation and finally wised up. I decided on Oak View and praying I made the right choice. I am so scared all the threats and phone calls to my home, work, friends I put on my applications. I am in the process of stopping all ACH transactions and closing account. Already have new account set up elsewhere. You are right the fee is high, but depends on the percentage they are subtracted off your original amount owed. It was very confusing, so I had him explain it to me a few times. The one thing that does make me very nervous is you have to give them an account number to draw your payments. All I could think was ???oh great here we go again. I did not want to give out my new account number to anyone. He said no problem. The solution was to make direct payments to Bank of America trust account they have set up. Still makes me worry. Are they going to make my payments? I would like to hear of any success stories from real customers. Need some confirmation. Sorry I am a new poster. Not sure if I posted and where.

HOF Moderator? Any advice? I am most scared of handling the calls from the loan companies., Then what to say to friends, work if I need to explain to my supervisor. I am positive they have gotten calls and just not said anything. They are not as friendly as they use to be. I am so ashamed to have to tell my supervisor or any of my coworkers that might answer the phone. I think I need to get my home phone number changed at home also.
Thanks for any advice.
PS I already got bad phone calls. One said they were sending the police out to arrest me within two hours at my work. I said I am right here waiting. No one came. He called my number at least 15 more times before they stop. I didn't answer and let them leave a recording. They use different names "Sam Watson" then he was Sam Horton. He forgot what name he was using. They say they are from "legal investigation dept." or Legal affidavit dept. They are horrible and say they know your address where you work, your SSN, and name. I don’t answer the phone anymore and screen all my calls at home but I cannot do this at work. If I know it is them, I just hang up.

First you can NOT be arrested for a debt, anyone who says that is lyin-more often than not when they claim that its a SCAM. The places you just named are scam outfits, they are bein investigated by the FBI and others. Tell your co workers and boss you are a victim of identity theft, thats it. First any company that tells others about your debt are scammers and that is very illegal! Just by the info you have posted your are a victim of your info being passed around-ignore the calls and tell your boss and co workers exactly what I said. This outfit is a scam

Thank You so much! I am starting to feel better now. I did consolidate my debts and have a very long road ahead of me and the phone calls are slowing down and they are working with my lawyer. I have chose to ignore my coworkers and if they want to talk about me thats their problem. I am not proud of myself by any means. I did sign up with Oak View. I would rather give them the high fee costs rather than a payday loan company.
Thanks again!:)
