A solution that will help EVERYONE reading this forum

well not everyone fits into the niche you so artfully carved. I agree to some extent that so many peoples problems would be cured or greatly reduced if they just took responsiblilty for their actions and didn't wait for someone else to fix their problems (that they caused themselves).

But ...

Some people are being hounded and abused by collection agents who are not following the law. Some people have medical problems, have been laid off due to the crappy economy, or have otherwise hit the skids. Yes there are solutions for them (such as getting a second/third/fourth or better paying job, cutting spending, etc) but for others (like those with kids and deadbeat sperm donors) it is easier said than done.

Some people (like me) are trying to find out how to resolve problems caused by collection agencies who do not do their jobs properly. I paid every penny due, plus interest and penalties. Why should I still be haunted, years later, because a collection agency did not do their job right? Yes, I sinned. And was punnished. Why beat the dead horse?

If collection agencies and their employees would be a bit more humane, maybe sites like this would cease to have such a large following.

Looks like some bottom feeder is missing their quota this month. Gee don't I feel bad. I hope the help that is provided here stops some of your bogus collection practices.

Some of us are working 2 jobs trying to pay money that we owe and this forum is a good source of info on how to deal with collectors who call and abuse you and threaten you with jail when you have no intention of not paying them what is due. Don't assume that everyone fits into one mold until you walk in their shoes!
