i have an agency that is calling asking for me by first name only. doesnt verify me just goes striaght into telling me i owe and how much. they never give mini maranda or anything. i have spoken with a supervisor there and still they do this it has happened 2 times in the last week now. what can i do
Get the name and address of this company and send them a debt va
Get the name and address of this company and send them a debt validation letter. Check to see if you can record the phone conversation in your state without telling them, or if you have to inform them then say this, "This call is being recorded for my protection. If you don't agree that this call should be recorded then hang up now. If you continue this conversation then you are giving permission for this call to be recorded." And then record the next call and any other calls that come in.
I can't believe they would try to get money out of you with nothing but your first name...wow, your name must be unique. :roll:
