Can collectors garnish my wages?

I had an account go into for collections in Colorado a few years ago and now I live in Florida. Can the collector come after me in another state?

what kind of debt are we talking?how long since you left colorado?

it's an old debt from an appartment when i broke the lease and it was feb 2007- probably went to collections april

it was from an apartment complex when i broke the lease it was feb 2007 so went to collections april. I moved to FL that feb
