Jay Masters called me from this company today. Anyone ever had to deal with this guy or company? I have a few pay day loans that are illegal in my state and am currently fighting with so unless he has to do with one of those I have no clue what he wants

It is a call from Nations Recovery Center, Inc. a GA based collection agency. I think that they have purchased your debt and so they are calling you up for repayment. The FDCPA requires the creditor to send you the details of the debt within 5 days of initial communication over phone in order to start the process of debt collection. Since they have still not done so, you need not send them any DV letter. You can visit http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/paydayloan/illegal-pdl-dealings.html to know how to deal with illegal pdls.

It is important to know the difference, many companies are third party collection agencies, collecting on behalf of the client in which a debtor may owe monies to, people always assume the debt has been bought there for they no longer owe it.

Not true, even if the debt is brought you still have to pay it if you owe it!! The company collecting on the debt can put it on your credit report for seven years, however a debt can be collected on for twenty years! (sucks right)

when you get the dunn letter (the letter informing you of a debt) call the company find out what it is for, if the debt is not correct you have 30 days to dispute the claim. Gather your receipts ect. And send a letter stating why the debt is invalid.

The worst thing you can do is ignor the calls, man up/ woman up and hanndle your thug thizzle!

20yrs huh?,and what planet are you living on?the SOL is different state to state, and debt to debt.some states it's as short as 3yrs.in some it's as long as ten,and in two states the SOL extinguishes debt.(WI AND MS).how come a semi-informmative post has to contain blatant stupidity.can someone explain it to me.
