Advanta and Philip & Cohen Associates?

I am going through the same thing. I am enrolled with settlement company who claimed they settle accounts with Advanta. Because of this I ignored the calls from Philip & Cohen. Recently I discovered Advanta will only deal with the debtor. I sent them an offer and it ended up in their legal office. So to answer your question, in this case yes it was most likely turned backed to Advanta.

So what has happened? What is your balance? Did they work out a settlement that you can do?

Advanta has been adamant about not working with 3rd party firms until recently.
Historically consumers have consistently been able to do better working directly with them.

If Advanta gave it to Philips Cohen on contract than they have it for now.

I kept Advanta in the loop with my situation and they settled for 35-40 %

I will settling for about 45%
