I received a call today from some people( being nice) who claim they are filing a lawsuit against my SS#, and will be arrested. it was a guy named Jason Smith, he was a senior attorney or something, but the person who left threatning message on my phone was Officer Danny Jones. they had called the month before, and I know now they are a scam, but a month ago, I did not. They had a different number this time. I called the AG office in Florida, The FR, Finance regulation, and then the FTC. These people called me back and I told them they were a scam, they could not tell me about who was presenting the Lawsuit. They have all my info, and since I told them to stop calling me, and my work, I think they applied for paydayloans using my info because I'm getting calls about my inquiry online, and also through my email. I know this is a scam and they had me very frightened. Just informing the rest of you. Trying to not let this bother me but they have all my info, which is my fault, but they have got to be stopped.

Are payday loans legal in your state? If they are not legal in your state, then they cannot take any legal actions against you. Moreover, you won't have to pay any late fees or charges to the payday lender regarding the loan. You need to payback only the principal balance. Nevertheless, as they are threatening you over the phone, you should also get in touch with an attorney and take his/her help in this matter.
