Collection Agency (CA) referred my debt to a collection lawyer. I requested tfrom them to provide me a debt validation and they sent me a copy of the statement from my original creditor. Will this satisfy the validation because I included in the debt validation request to provide copy of agreement with your client that authorizes you to collect on this alleged debt. CA stated that they satisfied the request. Is this enough evidence when I requested a additional document? CA also was stating in the letter that I'm obligated to pay the CA not the original creditor. Help!

You can call the original creditor and tell them you want to confirm that your account was assigned to so-and-so. That way you can be sure you're dealing with the right collector. You will have to negotiate with the collection agency since it's been assigned to othem.
