Alliance asset has started calling me. There are a lot of similar names but from what I have found that name and thier address (that I found on this site) are not listed as licensed to collect in TN. They have called 8 times in the past 2 hours and have not left a message. I have no intention of answering and talking to them or paying them anything if they are not licensed to collect in my state. I believe they are collecting for CashDirectExpress who has been more than overpaid. Can I report them to the AG, BBB, FCC and anyone else I can think of without actually picking up the phone and talking to them?

Calling 8 times in 2 hours is harrassment and would be considered a FDCPA violation! If you send them a cease contact letter and a debt validation letter by certified mail you will probably never hear from them again! You could file a suit and win if you can find an attorney to take it on contingincy! If they are not licensed in Tennesse they are proabaly not servable though!

well they sent me a dunning letter this week so I am going to dv them. It will be interesting to see what they do. You know of all the people that post here I don't recall anybody posting back that a CA actually validated the debt. I'm going to wait about 2 weeks and then I'll send it in.
