Allied Interstate dont have our names or our address

I have been receiving phone calls from AI for about two months. They don't have our names or our address. The recorded message states they are calling about a debt or any information to be used for that debt. All calls were during the day but recently they have started calling at night. I am hesitate to call them, give the our name, or supply any information. We do not want them to be able to attach our name to anyting. We do not have any debts. How do I stop the calls? Help and Thank you.


You will need to validate the debt with them. They will keep calling unless you do. Send them a debt validation letter certified mail with return receipt. You can find a sample letter in the DIY section of the forum. You can also request in the letter that they only contact you by mail. You may also want to check your credit reports to see if they have listed the debt on there.

Send your dispute letter asking for the information. They cannot collect until the corrected info is given to you. Send it certified with return receipt requested. You must have a hard copy to prove your actions. The return receipt signed by the company will mention the date when they received your letter.
