Hello
I just received (4) calls at work from a collection agency within 30 minutes. The company is called Allstate Financial in Las Vegas, NV. She told me it was an outstanding bill from a doctor that the insurance company's amount they did not pay from 2007. The (4) calls I got were rude and demanding. Told me they were going to call my payroll dept and demand the money from there, but my question is that they have to go through legal channels just like everyone Right? Don't they need to file a judgement? and I already have one from the IRS, so can they do this? What is the limitation on paying bills. I read somewhere that they do not expire. I mean old bills. I don't remember any of this. Should I ask them to send everything in writting? I already told here to stop calling me at work or I would have them turned in for harassment. Any advice?
