I've just been contacted by americam legal services, I spoke with them after the fifth call that day, the guy was very rude claimed my husband owe 645.25. the guy had a heavy accent, alleged we took out a payday loan in jan 2010. we did take out a payday loan, but it was paid in full in feb 2010. The guy gave me 7 company names they repersent none i used, I asked him which company is claiming i owe them he said he doesnt know the name of the company we supposely took a loan out with nor could he provide a loan number. He has our information which was entered online. He tried to force me to admit I have a debt with american legal service and commit to pay. He threaten to take me to take me to court, ruin my credit, and so on. I asked him to send me proof we have a loan with his company he refused. I refuse to admit we had any such loan he hung up. I know we only had one loan and I have information showing its paid full. How do we protect ourselves from this company.

Its a scam out of India. Ignore and file complaints with BBB, your Attorney General. They will say ANYTHING to scare you. You cant be arrested, they CANNOT take your drivers license, they CANNOT do anything to you. Do NOT fall for their lines, its a SCAM. They will scare you telling you horrible things but DO NOT fall for it. Tell them "See you in court" " I am waiting". Please relax and know its a scam from India!!
