Kinda strange they reporting a zero balance. Not sure what kind of impact this would have on your credit report, but anything reported as a collection (even zero balance) can't be good in the long run. I would immediately get on it and dispute it first with the company itself and then with the CRAs.

I just checked my credit report and I have something from this agency as well. It says I have a balance of $107 and the type of account is listed as Utilities. I can only assume it must be from a phone bill balance that I didn't pay, though I never received anything in the mail from any company. It's listed as first being reported on 10/08. I'm not really sure what this is exactly since I moved several times back during that time. Should I call the # that's listed above to see if they can explain what it is?

If thry're on your credit report, there should be contact info for them as well. Look down toward the bottom of your report. Start by sending them a demand for validation of the account.

That would figure. Making themselves inaxxessible would tend to prevent DV letters and such...
