Being sued by A&A. When debt verification was/is requested they say they don't have to provide since I did not respond within 30 days of initial notice from them. This initial notice was 10/2008. They say they are working on behalf of Discover and cannot negotiate on amt of money they claim is owed. Is this how this usually works? I can't understand why they can't provide the DV. Not sure what to do because I cannot afford monthly payments I will have to pay them and I definitely don't want to go to court. Please help.

You can demand that info during discovery, where they have to provide it, as that is the only thing that would prove you even owe them anything.
