FDCPA violations - ARM of Florida
Date: Wed, 11/04/2009 - 14:43
So I have been harassed to no end by ARM of Florida, over an internet pdl. I told them in the beginning that I would pay them the principal of the loan, but they want over $2000 now on a $300 loan due to fees, etc. Not going to happen!
I have sent a debt validation letter, which they never validated, and then have sent them 5 C/D since March, because they call constantly.
So far, they have contacted me at work 4 times, although I told them not to the first time, and put it in each of my C/D letters
They have called me at home 36 times since receiving my first C/D letter
I have been been threatened with jail time twice, called a *** loser once, and 3 times, the caller refused to identify themselves, simply saying "You know who this is" before hanging up
They are also trying to collect on an illegal debt
My question is this: is each one of these instances a FDCPA violation? Because if so, they owe me about $55,000 now!
I just want to make sure before I get back with this NACA attorney that says he'll take my case.
Thanks!
