Has anyone heard of the AIS Collection Agency? Arrowhead Financial sent me an email telling me that they turned my account over to this agency and left an 800 number. The email was short and sweet. I just wondered if they were going to hound me. ALso, does anyone know if Arrowhead is legal?

AIS called me one time ,then turned me over to another third party collector. They called and threatened leagal action. the bad part is I had paid the pay day company several payments and even arranged a settlement and they still sold my account. What should I do?

I would report them to your state attorney general. Do you have the proof that you paid them several payments?

AIS actually was reported on my credit report and I was able to dispute it and now they are no longer on there. The credit bureau had to investigate them and that took atleast two months, but in the end, they were removed.

Young lady said she was from AIS, but would not say what the company did or any more info on it unless I gave her personal information. I refused to give info to someone I did not know and she said that she had information for me. I told her it was her phone call and that she could give me that info, but again, I was not going to give her any personal information and she ended the call. Don' know who AIS is.

They're a collection agency but NEVER admit to owing a debt over the phone, you did the right thing. The next time they call, tell them they are required by federal law (FDCPA)to send you a letter of collection via the mail within 5 days of their first initial contact with you and if they don't do that but continue calling you it will force you to file a complaint against them with the BBB and the FTC for not complying with the law, they could be subject to a fine if they won't comply!

People - YOU DO NOT OWE A COLLECTION AGENCY ANYTHING! What they have done, is purchased your debt for pennys on the dollar, your original debtor has written off the debt already - if there was going to be an impact on your credit - it's already happened. DO NOT EVEN TALK TO THEM - DO NOT GIVE ANY MONEY once you have given them money, you have now acknowledged you owe THEM the money and now you are STUCK **DO NOT SIGN >>>ANYTHING<<< SAYING YOU OWE THE MONEY OR THAT YOU PROMISE TO PAY THEM - DO NOT MAKE PAYMENT ARANGEMENTS!!
