What do I do about a judgment Asset Acceptance LLC obtained when I didn't even know there was a court date?

There was a court date early June, but they (AALLC)contacted me and from our conversation they said they realized I would be unable to pay, but needed to verify that and I needed to send them copies of my last 3 months bank statements and any financial info I have. They would them be closing the case out of court. Next letter from them was the judgment in their favor. Also got a letter from the county court saying there is a judgment award to AALLC. What do I do now?

Depends on your state procedure laws. If you were never served, you need to try to get a new trial or at least vacate the judgment. Asset Acceptance engaged in deceptive conduct to get the information from you under the guise of dropping the lawsuit. Now they know where you bank and as long as the judgment stands they can garnish your bank account if that action is available in your state.
