I have collection agencies calling (asset acceptance in particular) for debt that is about 10 years old, and it has been removed from my credit report already. My question; What can they do to collect this money ? Can they take me to the courts ? Can they get a judgment against me ? Asset Acceptance has a judgment on my credit report for $1,700 , and they have some other accounts for which they do not have a judgment and these accounts are not on my report anymore, but every time they write me a letter they mention the judgment and say that if i do not pay they will go after my bank account, etc etc.

While the Judgement may only stay on the credit report for 7 years. (actually surprised it dropped off if it hasn't been settled yet)
Depending on the state, they can go after your bank account, as the judgement comes up SOL some states offer the Option to renew the Judgement. Some states they can even garnish your wages.

well the judgment was entered 5 years ago and is still there, the question is that Asset Acceptance has judgment on only one account, but when they talk about the other account, that they dont have a judgment on and that has been removed from the report, this is exactly how it reads " We will discontinue our attempts to collect on the judgment through available post-judgment remedies once your payment is received".
THEY DO NOT HAVE A JUDGMENT ON THIS ACCOUNT
IF THEY ACQUIRED A JUDGMENT ON ONE ACCOUNT DOES IT MEAN THAT THEY CAN USE THAT CASE # AND THAT JUDGMENT DATE TO THREATEN ME FOR THE OTHER ACCOUNTS ?

No they can not, the judgement already issued is only for the account that you were sued for. If the others that they keep trying to call and collect on are not on your credit report and past SOL, then the next time they try to collect on them send them a cease and desist on those accounts only, that they are past SOL and credit reporting time and do not want to be contacted further for those issues.
