Are assignments and bill of sale agreements legally valid to use against a defendant in court if the credit cardholder agreement is not valid? My cardholder agreement has a copyrite of 2003 and plaintiff has stated that I entered into cardholder ageement and opened cc account in 2001.

They are valid to the extent that they show who currently owns the debt.

Did they provide an agreement with your signature on it, or did they just provide a blank one?

If it has your signature, signed in 2001 yet the copyright notice says 2003, you may be able to object to it as being questionable...it looks pretty questionable to me to have a document that was not even created and copyrighted until 2003 having a signature date of 2001....almost seems like someone did some cut and pasting or maybe even forgery....
