Hey, I've got a process server trying to serve me papers for Palisades Collection. When I go online to our states court docket it just states that an attorney in our state is handling this case for them. When I try to look up the attorney I can't find any information on them. The papers were filed in April of this year and I have pretty much avoided the process server. They filed on an old address that I haven't lived at for 5 years. I'm a process server myself so I know how to go about searching for people and evidently they aren't searching to hard. Should I contact Palisades so They don't serve me and I have to go to court our should I just wait it out?

Call Palisades and get the complete information of your file. They should let you know which attorney is involved in the process. Once you get to know the details of the debt from the CA, try to pay them directly so that you don't have to go to the court. Once they agree to your payment proposal, ask them to withdraw the case from the court.
