When were the medical procedures completed, and how long has the collection agency had the debt?

IMC is the agency & they've had it about 1 year, I have paid a lot over700.00 to them and more to the Dr. before they turned it over. They are cahsing my checks. I am sending another 150.00 a week from Wed. & she said they would apply it, but to borrow it if I could.

I wonder if instead of sending a larger amount next week, does sending in something small (if you can of course) help at all? Does making more frequent, smaller payments help or hurt?

Well, the thing is, if they do turn it over and pursue a court case, the Judge is going to see you have been making payments. I would send them what you can, as long as it's on a monthly basis. That's what I do, and when the CA calls, I just tell them I am doing my best, can't do any better than my best. As far as the legal aspect, I'm not sure, perhaps someone else will be able to answer your question though.
