Hi,
Two weeks ago, I received a letter of default judgement on a credit card with Washington Mutual/Providian. I had thought this was paid, but that is beside the point. I was not even residing in the residence they supposedly sent my summons to, not even the same county, but the judgement default letter came via certified mail after being forwarded from my old address. Now, I looked at my credit report and see that Arrow Financial is reporting what I believe to be the same debt as of 3 days ago. Does that mean the lawyer hired Arrow to collect on it? This now means that it is showing up from Providian and Arrow, but the judgement is not there yet. Also, it only says assigned from Washington, the only reason that I think they are the same is the balance owed. I even received an alert that Arrow reported my new address, but have not heard from them? What the heck is going on? Who do I even owe the money to? The lawyer? Providian? Or Arrow? Can anyone help me figure this one out?

It would be highly advisable to return to the county's pro-se office to attempt to hammer this out. I would ask for assistance with the procedures for filing an "Order to Show Cause" why the default shouldn't be vacated due to improper service. This would technically call for emergency relief in most jurisdictions. What county, state do you live in ourpitts?
