This is an email I received today from the BBB regarding the law firm/collection agency Rannefeld & Associates:
Now what do I do. I requested validation for the debt that they supposedly are collecting on. What is my next step?

Send everything that you sent to the BBB to your States Attorneys Office, that is what they are there for, and send it certifed with a return reciept. They will answer you and maybe go to bat on your behalf.

Since this is a law firm,in addition to filing a complaint with your attorney general send a complaint to the Bar association of the state the office is located in. This is the association that would give the lawyer his license to practice law.
