Just as I thought. There have been reports on this board of people getting contacted by someone pretending to be a debt collector, but not acting in a legitimate and legal fashion at all. I have insisted that since they act like a scam, then they should be treated like a scam.

Now it is getting more and more risky to take out a payday loan! (It is PDL info they are getting, apparently.)

It's too bad that someone or a group of someone's are taking advantage of people in these hard economic times. It's also a both a curse and a blessing to live in this age of technological advances...when people's personal info can be compromised...and people like this can use the phone to terrorize people out of money.

These guys called me back in June. That is when I found this site and realized it was all a scam. They sounded legitimate to me when I first talked to them because they had the last 3 of my social and my bank account. But I am so glad I decided to do a little research before I gave them any money. I had never taken out an internet payday loan so I do not know how they got my information.
