I have a law firm that told me they would be filing suit against me a couple weeks back. I told them I'd see them in court because I am disputing the debt (and they are full of crap & violate the fdcpa like crazy!!!!). Anyway, my question is: I have not been served and I haven't heard anything since the end of September. Is there somewhere I can check to see if they have filed suit against me? I just do want to miss the court hearing!!!

Oh, I'm in GA if that helps;) THANKS!!!!!!!

Some states have a government website where you can search court records for that state. Try googling "georgia court records" or something like that. Whatever you do, don't pay for the information from one of those websites. If you don't find it online through your state government pages than call the county court clerk.
