Bill sent to Bass & Associates

I have a question, I had a bill that got sent to Bass and Assco for collections, and we set up payment and and paid them off in 3 months. This was about 4 years ago, now the original company who sent it to collections is demanding payment, saying they never recieved anything, and now they are demading payment again. Any ideas on what I can do?

Do you have your documentation showing that this bill was paid? Do you have a cancelled check, bank statement, etc? If you don't have these things, you could call your bank to have them order copies of them. Once you get them, send copies to the company as proof that you have paid this debt and that they should go after Bass.

Knowing Bass (now being sued by the Florida Attorney General), they stiffed the client. They were probably ripping off both sides.
