My husband has outstanding credit card debit from his business which closed 4+ years ago. 2 of the debits are now coming from Blatt etc for $8000+ each. These are 2 different credit card companies.
Has anyone had any luck negotiating with them?
Is it worth a getting a lawyer?
Thanks!!

[FONT=Verdana]Well I would suggest you to send a debt validation letter to Blatt, Hasenmiller, Leibsker. You may start a negotiation if you have the necessary funds. What are they saying now?

We're not contesting that he owes, but I question the amount. After finding some very old statements, the amount owed is $2000 more than the limit on the cards? Is he liable for all the fees and penalties that have accumulated? Should we send any money? The only deal they can provide is 30% off, paid in full at one time. Which is impossible.
Thanks for your help.
