My sister owes $15,000 for a BofA card, that she just recently in the last 4 months can't pay. So, the SOL is still about 4 years to go. My sister also owes about another $30,000 on other credit cards. My sister is now on state disability and going to apply for SS. She owns no home or car. She lives with her domestic partner and drives his car. (but rarely drives) She gets 20 phone calls a day, she told me.
If a creditor sues her what can they get from her? She is in California.

Nothing, disability is not garnishable. Make sure that she has her own bank account that she puts her money into only. Because if they share an account they can take anything in excess of the disability payments (his money).
