I sent an email to Budd Hibbs last night 07/24/2007 and today, 07/25/2007 he actually called me in regards to the mail I sent him regarding CACH LLC and the supposed law firm of Rannefeld & Associates. He told me to tell them that: Dear Mr. Blue Rannefeld:
This my third (3) request for validation of the debt that you say that you have from CACH, LLC. I have received nothing from you, however I have sent you a debt validation letter and cease and desist order which I know you received as I have the green cards back from the post office. The dates on the green cards are 07/18/07 signed by an Ericka Gonzalez and on 07/19/2007 by someone I cannot read there name looks like Thomas.
You have failed to provide me with the documentation that I requested within the 5 day range and therefore I have contacted an attorney, the BBB and the Texas Bar Association and the Attorney General in regards to your collection practices and Budd Hibbs. I talked to Mr. Hibbs personally today on the phone and he stated “do not pay them a dime, that I have turned you into the NACA where I live and they will be handling this case for me”. He also stated that you have a convicted felon working for your “law firm” by the name of Jeff Wheeler.”
He stated that if anyone from your office calls me again that this will be recorded and that is a violation of a $1,000.00 each time it happens. Do not threaten to sue me save your money and each time I receive a telephone call this will be recorded and you will be in violation of the fdcpa.
This letter will be sent certified/return receipt requested to your home address of 7337 Chambers Lane, Ft. Worth, TX 76179.
Sincerely,

Pretty cool isn't it.

You can't read the name? It's supposed to be signed and printed so u will know who got it! Some of this seems a bit harsh to me but i guess Bud knows what he's doing! I personally rather handle things differently than to sound so harsh.... but that's just me, it's not in my nature to be rude to anyone!
Good Luck lady and let us know how it goes,
Sorry i wasn't able to get on earlier but hubby went grocery shopping and we've been putting away groceries for almost 2 hours! YIKES!
Talk tomorrow, i go in late,
Ang

I agree that it does sound harsh, but think about it think how they treat debtors, they treat us harshly, oh well, I think they will get the message, lol. I hope you guys bought good food, that is a long grocery list. I guess you won't be going out to eat anytime soon huh (lol). I bet that cost a pretty penny :)

I have read and I hear all of what you say.... My first question of all questions must be how long were you in collection before you asked for validation of your debts..... Even more, how many collection agencies have contacted you and how many of the collection agencies have sent you the validation of your debt. Now, the account that is actually in collections, when did you first find out that is was in collections ... The reason why I ask these questions is because I don't see where you stated that you wanted to resolve the debt or that you know you are responsible for the debt. The one thing that disturbs me in the response that you got from budd hibbs is that there has to be a deffinate note made that all responses he gives are legal advise that will hold up in all states... One of the answers you got was to inform the agency each time they contacted you that you are recording them.... First things first!!!! If you are being contacted after they acknowledge they received your letter they sunk there own ship.... Now keep in mind even if you inform someone you are recording there conversation, keep in mind if they answer "YOU DO NOT HAVE PERMISSION TO RECORD MY CONVERSATION" keep in mind that not all states allow just 1 party acknowledgement of recorded converstations but recording of conversations has to be asknowledged by both parties in the recording in order for this to hold up in certain states....

I just find it alarming that you are instructed on ways to either run from a responsibility or is it you are being instructed on how to make money off of debt already owed???? Now to cut all of this "I SENT IT IN THE MAIL" stuff out.... they can simply give you a fax # to fax over any requests you for cease and desist or validation of debts. Makes no sense why budd didn't mention these options to you.... I just know this from common sense... So any readers that read this response... This first solution isnt to sue as all the creditors that seem to have called you aren't sueing you right away... :?:

SO are u saying that since the acct has been passed from one CA to another over and over that it is automatically owned by them?? That in itself wud make me leary! And it IS the law to validate a debt, prove u own it then let's talk about settling it.... as u say, first things first....
Just a bit confused by ur post

No one here is running from their debts. In fact we encourage all members to pay whatever money they do owe, However it is definately within our rights to be sure that the debt is ours, Especially if it is a debt that a ca claims we owe from years back.
There have been many companies called JUNK DEBT BUYERS that try to collect money on old debts that have already been settled. These companies try to muscle and intimadate people into paying these illegal debts. If you dont ask , you dont know .
would you like to be harassed for a debt you do not owe. Would you like to pay for something you do not owe.
