Well seems my court date is getting closer. Besides the 2 validation letters and the settlement offer I sent to CACH is there anything else I will need to bring? Can I bring a copy from my credit report of what Chase says they wrote off or do I need to call Chase and ask them to send it to me? On the court documents it says I need to bring last 6 months of bank statements and 5 years of tax forms, also my assests (I have NONE). The house we live in is in my husbands name and he had it before we were ever married, also all the cars we own are in his name. Nothing in my name except this one credit card and a few medical bills.
Also, on CACH's court documents it has that the original creditor was Bank One. I'm so confused over this, I have NEVER had a credit card from Bank One, only thing i've had is a checking account with my name on it and Chase has bought them out since. Why would CACH say that the original creditor is Bank One???
But my most important question is, will the court allow a copy of my credit report with Chase's write off on it or do i need something directly from Chase? On my report Chase says they wrote off $4043 and CACH is trying to collect $9405. (and as i've said before, Chase had a write off on my CR in the amt of $9405 but when i disputed it, they removed it and just left the one which i believe is correct for $4043).
Thanks for any help you guys can give me. I'm getting very nervous as the court date gets closer since i've NEVER been in a court room for anything before!

Last time I looked there were NO local attorneys here on naca but also, is it NOT too late since my court date is only 3 weeks away? Some days i feel ok then days like today i'm just sick that i've done this to myself and how it all went down just doesn't make ANY sense to me! Is there any chance that CACH would just settle this with me and avoid court?

You have a right to postpone your court date if you need more time to prepare your case or find an attorney. Have you tried that. It will give you more time to raise money for a lawyers retainer also.
