First of All, I know my rights and no debt can put you in jail. Be that as it may, My best friend just got a phone call from 520-336-9103 and they asked for me. I am current on everything, I have no payday loans, and I dont know how they got her number. they are telling her she is "equally" involved and not to disregard the message. Can anyone tell me who this is.
Arizona area code, says he is from Legal Department and I have committed financial fraud. American Legal Systems to be exact. Googled the number and it runs from Texas to California and beyond. But No company name. I cant wait to call him on lunch and lead him on a little before I insist he stop calling me. :-P

As per FDCPA laws, the collection agency cannot contact your friends or relatives in regards to your debt. Thus, the collection agency (whoever it is) has violated a FDCPA rule. When the collection agency contacts your friend the next time, she should simply ask them to stop calling her. If they don't do so, she can simply go ahead and take legal actions against them.
