I have been getting numerous calls from this company at home then on my cell phone which I know they have ways of getting it. However, I told the one rep for collect corp when he was fishing for my persnal information that I do no give that over the phone. I was almost surprised that they found me when my phone rang at my desk( I nevet give out my company phone number). The other issue was the rep from collect corp calledc me at work then threatened me to transfer her to my HR. I almost lost my temper(did not wish to lose my job) at my desk by asking her if she was on something for asking such a stupid question then i just replied no. I am very angry that they called me at work. The other messed up thing was a week before I talked to them on my cell phone at my gf house. The girl was ok to chat then her supervisor interrupted and was a jerk. The big question I have is can they call you at work while your working???

The debt collectors have to abide by the FDCPA laws which puts certain restrictions on their collection practices. FDCPA clearly states that a collector can't call you before 8 am and after 9 pm or any other time when you have expressed inconvenience.
Next time when they call you let them know that you would prefer only written communication with them and they have to stop calling you at work.
Have they validated the debt yet?

If you do not communicate with them at home, then they can call you at work. In order to get them to stop calling you at work, you can tell them that it will put your job in jeopardy and as per the FDCPA, they need to stop calling you at work immediately.
Do not verify any information with them over the phone *except your mailing address*. Since they have all your phone #s, they likely have your address. They need to send you a letter in the mail detailing the dispute procedures and the original creditor. When you get that letter, then dispute the debt by demanding Validation (they cannot engage in further collection activities until they send you verification of the debt).
Also, technically, they cannot call you on your cellphone because they cannot cause you to incur charges.
