Welcome to the forums!
If you are able to post a little more information about the company you are referring to, and the person they are calling about (is this person related to you, or someone you know, etc...), I'm sure someone on the forums will be happy to help you out as much as possible!

Do you have a new phone? Or even if it's not new, they might be calling the phone number associated with a debt that is 15 years old...
Most times they buy a debt with little or no good information, and the phones on that account are long gone. But they still keep calling to try and find the person.
Chances are you have acquired the phone number of a person who owed them money. Or they might have typed it in their system wrong; say transposed a 21 into a 12...
What I would do..........
I would tell them that I was not the person they were looking for and what they are doing by calling you is considered harrassment and then finish by telling them not to call back. Do NOT send any money to them, do NOT verify any personal information to them, and for gosh sakes, there is no need to be polite if they are not listening and they keep calling. There is also a very real possibility that they are trying to get you to pay a debt that they couldnt get the original debetor to pay. It is also possible that the debt doesnt accually exist and they are trying to scam you.
Do not give them any personal information because they might put it in their files and create a "debt" in hopes that you will pay it to get them to stop harrassing you.
