Capital One Credit Card Question

I received my statement for this credit card about 2 weeks ago. I was going online to pay it and they changed the amount due. My bill is not due until 3/7 so I am not late.
Can they do that. What if I hadnt checked online and mailed a paper check.
Any thoughts.

You must have made a payment with your credit card after you have received the statement. When you view your accounts online, you can see the latest outstanding amount and not the already billed amount. However, you need to pay the amount mentioned on the statement you received 2 weeks ago. If you want, you can also pay the entire amount outstanding.
