Can some tell me if this is in fact Capital One or a C/A?
They told me they were in fact Capital One.... I've read were they aren't
and will mislead that they are.
The account has been charged off and now they still want the full balance with all the interest and penalty build up + the current interest rate that is accruing.
They will accept a 150.00 a month pay by phone but will not budge on the buildup or interest rate.other than to get the int/rate to 0% I would have to pay the build up fees of 882.00........ I can't believe they are still trying to make money on this charge off,I have told them this as well.
I offered them the 150.00 per month by M/O provide they wave the build up and interest.Of course they declined and said the acount would be leaving the office by 12:00 and going to further collections measures in another office.
This account is approximately 15 months in default, any help as to how and handle or what to expect from Capital One Services, llc would be greatly appreciated.

Capital One is a tough creditor and rarely, if ever, settles. Nor will they abate their interest charges. If you don't want the account handed over to an attorney or have them Capitol file paperwork for judgment, I'd pay them.
I tried settling with them. No go. They did let me catch up my account in 3 payments so that now I can pay the minimum and it's on time. However, my balance is only about $2,000.

If they proceed with any kind of legal play.......then all bets will be off.
I'll file for BK and be done with it.
I'm trying to do the best I can, if thats not good enough,They get nothing!!
