anyways, i try to ask my question one more time. maybe someone can help me.
i have a judgement against me from legal recovery law offices. i thing they are working for capital one. anyways, my quesiton is, "how long before they start to garnish my wage or take money from my bank account. and if they do start taking money from my bank account. should i just clean out my bank account so theres nothing in there? if i do this will they continue to try to withdraw money from my account to the point where i can no longer put money in my account?

I would say that they will take steps to garnish your wages immediately. I would speak to your workplace payroll/HR department. Please note that any garnishment can equal up to 1/3 of your gross pay(I think this might also depend on the state) per pay period-They would not be able to take the entire amount of pay you receive. They would only be able to take money from your bank account if you have given them the information and explicitly informed them they can do so, or the judgement shows that they are enabled by law to do so(which I think is illegal in most states). I wouldn't worry about your bank account at all.
If anyone is more informed about this, please let me know so I can learn more.

what state are you in? i WOULD worry about my bank account if i were you. why not call them and try to work out a payment arrangement instead of worrying about being garnished?
bad info above me, they can and will empty any bank account they
bad info above me, they can and will empty any bank account they find in your name-thats what a judgement is. They do not and will not inform you ahead of time. They send out inquiries to every bank in the area you live in and once they get a hit they can and will freeze and empty any account they find. EMPTY your bank account and start using a prepaid debit card-put your pay and any money on that-its impossible for them to find those. Once there is a judgement against you anything is fair game and the only money they can NOT touch is SSI and unemployment and disability.

its been almost a year since the judgement. what are they waiting for? last month they sent me some letter from the courts asking me about how they are requesting information about my car loan? whats that about? i want to make payment arrangements. i mean the debt is valid and i do intend to pay my debt. i'm just worried that even if i do make a payment arrangement they will still freeze my account. do they have right to do that. i mean since they have a judgement against me, can they still freeze my account even if i agree to a payment arrangement with them? if thats the case then whats the point of even making payments if they're just going clean out my account? I live in california. so if anybody has any info i would greatly appreciate it
In CA your wages can be garnished and your bank account frozen.
In CA your wages can be garnished and your bank account frozen. It sometimes takes time after a judgement is rendered....and they are not going to tell you when it is going to happen. Even after making a payment arrangement, they could turn around and freeze your account....if you did not show up in court to take care of this or set up a payment plan, they have every right to use whatever remedies are available to them.
hope you answered the courts letter...otherwise you could be found in contempt.

i just got off the phone with the people at legal recovery law offices. i spoke to a lady named lisa. to my suprise she talked to me in a very courteous and professional manner. i explained to her that i wanted to pay my debt, but that i couldn't afford to pay it all at once. we worked out an acceptable payment arrangement. i was expecting some rude collections agent who was going to berate and scream at me. happily i got neither. she explained to me not to worry about the wage garnishments. nothing was going to happen as long as i make my payments on time. it was such a relief to hear that. its funny because when you treat someone like a human being and with a little respect you can accomplish a lot more. i definetly will work really hard to pay back my debt.
thank you all for your help
