I've posted here before & want to thank you for your responses.

I live in Los Angeles:

I am being sued by Mann Bracken for Capital One. (3 lawsuites, 3 credit cards). I have filed my answers to each one and was awaiting a court date. I have also sent out certified letters to try and make a payment plan for each. I recieved 1 message from the attorney when she recieved my certified letter but after numerous attempts and messages from me, she did not call me back. (sorry, I sound like I'm babbling)

Anyway, I've been keeping track on the case summary website with the court and now it say's that 1 of the cases has been dismissed without prejudice. Why would they dismiss 1 and not the others? Are they messing with me? I've paid 200.00 each to answer these summons. and now I'll have to do it over again?

Thanks for reading.....

A case would get dismissed without prejudice when the plaintiff fails to provide sufficient evidence to support his claim. But the plaintiff may file a new case later on. Hence, if they later on reinstate the dropped case then you might have to repeat the process. But I keep my fingers crossed that they wouldn't pursue it in future.

If you search this collector, I'm sure you would acquire more insight.
