Capital one left a message that I won $300.00 to call back

I get a call from a very happy guy that I may have won $300 to call back.
I wait until midnight to call the number and it was capital one's collection number
Are they really trying to be that sneaky?

They may offer to apply money toward your account if you bring it up to date. Capital One credited my account $100 for bringing it up to date within 2 payments and also sent me a $100 gift card which I used for gas. I'd check it out and see what they're offering.
