I was checking my CR's and saw that my Capitol One accounts are about to drop off my CR. One in 12/09 the amount is now $1,717 credit limit was only $200, the other one will fall off 10/09 with a balance of $1,939 that also had a limit of $200. They would post my payment late so they could get me with a late fee then the late fee would put me over the limit so they would get me with an over the limit fee so I told them to kiss off and I would only pay the original amount. And as you can see they never agreed. They still have the accounts because they were turned back from the CA because my state got involved because they were with LERS and ARM  2 of the worst CA's in my book. So they didn't like the pressure from the state and sent them back to Capitol one and now I see that Capitol one checked my CR 12/08. Anybody know what I can expect sometime this year from them? Or is it too late for them to do anything to me about these accounts?

What state are you in? If they are soon to drop the SOL may be up and there isn't much they CAN do at this point. I am surprised they are still with the OC, usually older debt gets sold off.

I would just wait it out and see what happens....usually OCs don't reage or play games, but you never know. They could try one last ditch effort and assign it to another CA.

I am in WI and the sol is 6 years but they are trying to say I made a payment in 2004 (well one of the nasty CA's said that) I know the last time I made a payment to them was in 2002. Thats what I told the DFI and when she asked me how I remembered that I told her it was after my mom passed away. She then informed the wonderful CA's that and they backed off, plus they wouldn't send me anything I asked for in my DV letter.

I was going to try and settle later this year but when I saw that they were gonna drop off this year I figured why even bother. They screwed me enough right after my mom passed away and I was sending them a $100 a month so I already paid them back what they paid out for me. I don't think I owe thousands in interest.

Typical CA trick..I wish I had the magical payment fairy to make payments on MY bills when I have no cash. Would make things much easier! :D

When was the last time you were contacted on this account by a CA? Like I said, I would just adopt a 'wait and see' attitude...ball in their court type of thing.
