I've never heard of that. I'd think that's a pretty big no-no. Your auto loan and your credit card are two separate things.
The only way I could see Capitol One taking your vehicle for CC debt is if they sue you and are granted a judgment. At that point, they can come after your car. But considering you owe money on it, I don't know why they would. Because then they'd have the CC debt paid back, but if you defaulted on your auto loan, there would be no collateral for them to take back.
They'd then have to take you to court again for the auto loan and if they get the judgment, then they'd have to try to garnish wages (depending on what state your in, they may not even be able to do that), or put a lien on your bank account.
Maybe I'm way off base here and someone will correct me. But I just don't see you getting your vehicle repo'd over a credit card debt unless they have sued you and won.
How much is the credit card debt and how much still owing on you
How much is the credit card debt and how much still owing on your vehicle?
